The Telling Room

’s Young Writers & Leaders program. We talked about the writing process, leadership and our shared experience of growing up between different cultures. I wrote A Promised Land in part because I hoped to reach young people like those in this group—the unique voices of a new generation, energized and unafraid to dream big.
