Today is #WorldOzoneDay. The theme for 2017 is, "Caring for all life under the sun". This year marks the 30th anniversary of the #MontrealProtocol.
The #OzoneHeroes campaign by UN Environment follows the Guardians of the Galaxy and Iron Man as they discover humans are the heroes who solved the global crisis of ozone depletion. The 72nd session of the General Assembly (GA) starts today. Established in 1945 under the Charter of the United Nations, the GA occupies a central position as the chief deliberative, policymaking and representative organ of the United Nations. All 193 Member States have one vote, and it provides a unique forum for multilateral discussion of international issues covered by the Charter.
